Multi-Band Amplifier: MBA-21
- The GRC MBA-21 multi-band amplifier is used in conjunction with tactical transceivers with outputs of 1 to 5 watts.
- The multi-band amplifier connects to the output of any 30 to 512 MHz radio and amplifies the signal to 20 watts.
- The GRC MBA-21 automatically senses the output frequency of the transceiver. The output automatically switches output filters to reduce the harmonic content, typically being 60dBc.
- The transmit/receive switches on the input and the output of the MBA-21 directs the receive signal to the transceiver.
- The unit housing is milled aluminum that is water tight at a depth of 66 feet for 2 hours.
- The amplifier will operate for approximately 15 hours on two BA-5590 batteries or equivalent under normal conditions.
- The MBA-21 can be switched between AM, FM, SAT-COM with LNA, or SAT-COM without LNA modes.
